Francis Toromade is a seasoned Agribusiness Expert, Consultant, and Analyst with more than three decades experience in leading and managing marketing, sales, procurement, research, training and development and financial management in the livestock sub-sector in Nigeria and West Africa. Over the years, Francis worked as General Manager, Sales and Marketing, for thirteen years at Amo Byng Nig. Ltd: one of Nigeria’s leading producers and distributors of high quality feed concentrates and finished feeds where he led business strategy development and grew sales revenue by more than 1,400%, expanded the business credit facilities, and distribution network across Nigeria and West Africa.

Francis is a consummate administrator, manager, researcher, analyst, trainer, consultant and adviser on agribusiness

Francis holds a MBA in International Business Management from Lagos State University; and Master in Agribusiness Management from Rome Business School, Italy. He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) UK; Fellow Chartered Institute of Administration (FCIA); Fellow, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (fnimn); Associate of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM); Associate of Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM); Associate of Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (arpa)

Francis is the Director General of Premier Agribusiness Academy www.premieragribusinessacademy.com and Project Director, Nigeria Soy Excellence Centre www.soyexcellenceenter.ng

He lectures Agribusiness students at Lagos Business School until 2018 and Masters degree students at Rome Business School Nigeria, Ikeja, Lagos. He is equally a Business Development Consultant to Rome Business School, Nigeria.

Francis facilitated the MoU signed with International Institute of Tropical Agriculture IITA on human capacity development in training Nigerian farmers on Most Impactful Practice (MIP) on maize, cowpea, rice, soybeans, cassava, yam and vegetables. Same MoU was signed with Nigeria Institute of Animal Science (NIAS) to train on poultry, aquaculture, piggery, goat rearing and dairy production.

Francis was able to bridge the wide gap between the agribusiness public and private sector by constituting the most powerful Nigeria Soy Excellence Centre Advisory Council members drawn from Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN); Catfish and Allied Fish Association of Nigeria (CAFFAN); Nigeria Soybean Association (NSA); Nigeria Institute of Animal Science (NIAS); Industrial Training Fund (ITF); Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN); Nutrition Society of Nigeria (NSN); Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD); Federal Ministry of Industries, Trade and Investment (FMITI); Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and successfully organized three meetings in one year.

Before he retired as Group Head, Policy and Strategy in Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd. in 2017, he was part of the team that trained over 500 small holder farmers (SHF) on Noiler project and after his retirement, over 200 major stakeholders were trained on Creative thinking for decision making.

As the Project Director of Nigeria Soy Excellence Centre, sponsored by USSOY, Francis has trained about 300 stakeholders from public and private sectors of Nigeria agribusiness on Poultry Management and Soybean Production Management.

Francis is currently relating with AIG Aisha Abubakar on Nigeria Police Force pre- retirement farming and skills acquisition project which covers crop and vegetable farming, livestock, poultry and micro –livestock, aquaculture value chain.

This project is expected to train about 1000 police officers annually.
